About me

I grew up living in the advertising world. My parents owned an advertising agency in the Dominican Republic for more than 15 years. When I was in high school I already knew how to work with Macromedia Freehand and Corel Draw. After graduating high school in 2004 I went to Altos de Chavón School of Design in La Romana, Santo Domingo to pursue an Associate’s degree in Communication Design. In 2006 I was awarded with a full scholarship to finish my studies at Parsons in New York.

While in New York, I had the privilege of working with different companies, such as Ralph Lauren Media, JWT and YBrand. In 2009 then I moved back to Santo Domingo where I started working for an interior design company, Homeset Dominicana. Two years later, I was hired to work as a web designer at Republica Design Group, this is where she found her passion for coding and everything nerd related.

In 2013 I decided to strengthen my skills and I was selected to participate in an accelerator program at Startup Institute. At SINY I had the opportunity to work with startups like Brick Wall Media and Dear Kate . After finishing SINY I landed many freelance projects with companies like Shift Vertical (now Tyngu), Pad in Motion, WinFertility and many other.

After 10+ years of experience, I'm now working as a User Experience Designer and Developer for a data survey analytics platform. My passions are designing and researching for UX, web development and learning about emerging technologies.
