Natalia Suárez - UI/UX Design

Natalia Suárez is an Interactive Art Director based in Santo Domingo currently working at MullenLowe Interamerica. She is a faculty member of Altos de Chavón School of Design, teaching UI/UX and HTML/CSS. Natalia holds a Bachelor’s degree from Parsons The New School for Design in New York and an Associate's from Chavón School of Design.

Natalia grew up living in the advertising world. Her parents owned an advertising agency in the Dominican Republic for more than 15 years. When she was in high school she already knew how to work with Macromedia Freehand and Corel Draw. After graduating high school in 2004 Natalia went to Altos de Chavón School of Design in La Romana Santo Domingo to pursue an Associate’s degree in Communication Design. In 2006 she won a full scholarship to finish her studies at Parsons in New York.

While in New York, Natalia had the privilege to work for different companies like Ralph Lauren Media, JWT and YBrand. In 2009 Natalia had to move back to Santo Domingo where she started working for an interior design company, Homeset Dominicana. Two years later, she was hired to work as a web designer at Republica Design Group, this is where she found her passion for coding and everything nerd related.

In 2013 she decided to strengthen her skills and she was selected to participate in an accelerator program at Startup Institute. At SINY she had the opportunity to work with startups like Brick Wall Media and Dear Kate. After finishing SINY Natalia landed many freelance projects with companies like Shift Vertical (now Tyngu), Pad in Motion, WinFertility and many other.

After 8 years of experience, Natalia is now working as an Interactive Art Director at MullenLowe Interamerica, teaching UI/UX, HTML and CSS at Altos and also doing freelance work. Some of her clients work you can view includes Unilever, Hershey’s, Brugal, Grupo Bona, Bancamerica, Fundación Caminantes por la Vida and other.
